The all-terrain vehicle can serve
many purposes, from the best tool you have ever owned to a toy that
even big kids love. Regardless if your ATV is used for work or play,
its going to attract mud like a magnet. The heat from the engine
and exhaust will bake this mud to your frame, body, and even your
body. A gas engine pressure
washer is an ideal means of getting rid of this dirt and mud
and gets you back out riding.
For years we have used ATV’s on our farm,
Curly tells me. Curly owns a 200 acre farm with about 1000 head
of cattle, and he uses his four wheeler, as he calls it for herding,
doing daily checks, and mending fences. Curly owns a 13HP
commercial gas pressure washer. He uses his machine every day,
and with all those cows its not mud that curly has to contend with.
He wants to spend the least amount of time he possible can cleaning
up his ATV, and with his pressure washer he says it only takes him
about five minutes to get it spotless, and he doesn’t even
you use any chemicals,
which can also cut down on your time spent. Curly has a four wheeler
over 12 years old that looks brand new, and he tells me he pressure
washes it on a daily bases since he bought it.
Maintaining you ATV properly
regardless if you use it for work or play, is vital to its
life.
Mud can be detrimental over time to your chain, exhaust, and frame.
And once your paint has failed rust will set in. You will want to
use a machine with between 1200-2000 psi. Never pressure wash your
seat, as a pressure washer can tear right through it. You will also
need to be cautious around any electrical connections with a high
pressure washer. Connect your machine to the appropriate water supply
and turn your machine on. Work your way around the ATV soaking it
with our 505 Brushless
Vehicle Soap being sure to follow all directions. Once you have
pressure washed away the dirt you can dry the ATV body for a spot
free shine.
Go ahead and get muddy, with your new pressure
washer you won’t care. You will be able to clean it right
up, and spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing, or you may be
so excited over how easy it was to clean up, you’ll use your
pressure washer for the rest of the day.
