Whether you plan to wash just your own car, or own a car wash business, washing your car just got easier. If you live in the north everyone knows how damaging the salt that is used on the roads can be to your vehicle during the winter months. Maybe you live in the beautiful countryside, and frequently travel gravel and dirt roads coating your car in a layer of dust and grit. Maybe you just like to have clean transportation. Whatever the reason, vehicles need to be washed often to keep them looking their best, and what better way to do it than with a pressure washer. If this is your first time using a pressure washer you may want to practice on something other than your car to get a feel for the power you have.

Start by connecting your pressure washer to the appropriate water supply. Turn on your machine and rinse your car thoroughly with water. Using your chemical injector apply our 505 brushless vehicle soap, being sure to follow all chemical application directions. With your 25° spray tip wash your car, starting at the top and work to the bottom overlapping each time you make a pass. Between 1200-2000 PSI is usually adequate, too much pressure can remove pin striping and decals. However if you own a pressure adjustable machine you can use a higher pressure in areas such as tires, wheels, rocker panels, and beds of trucks. Next use your 40° spray tip to rinse your car in the same manner in which you washed it. For best results you should always dry your car.

To virtually eliminate spotting you can also try our 516 Non-Spotting Rinse. Just use this in the rinse process. Pressure Washing Tips Overview

• 0° Spray Tip – RED - This tip is not recommended for wood applications, its
  stream of water is to narrow and concentrated. This tip would be ideal for concrete, and metal.
  
• 15° Spray Tip – YELLOW - This tip is a heavy duty cleaning or stripping tip. You
  can use this tip for cleaning concrete, loose paint, and driveways.
  
• 25° Spray Tip – GREEN - This tip is for general washing purposes. You will find yourself using this tip for your deck, siding, and your car.
  
• 40° Spray Tip – WHITE - This tip has the least amount of impact. The white tip is great for rinsing, cleaning out your gutters, and other sensitive jobs.
