For those of you who are interested in cleaning your own
gutters. A pressure washer takes all the work right out of this
task. With an extension
wand and a gutter
cleaning attachment you can safely from the ground clean your
gutters with a pressure washer. This means that anyone that can
operate a pressure washer can do this task themselves. By cleaning
your gutters on a regular basis you can even save yourself money
in the future by eliminating the possibility of clogged gutters
that can hold water against your fascia causing rot and possible
leak into your house.
If you own a two story home you’ll love
owning a telescoping
wand. This will allow you not only to be able to clean your
gutters, but your siding sofit, and other out of reach areas. These
wands can be extended up to 24’ and retract for easy storage.
Your gutters may have black streaks all over them and scrubbing
from the roof or a ladder can be dangerous. By using our 503
chemical and a bleach mixture, 1 part of each to 4 parts of
water, and a pressure washer your gutters will like new in no time.
Never use bleach or any acid through your chemical injector, these
chemicals can damage your internal components of the injector, and
your gun.
To start your gutter
cleaning project, attach you pressure washer to the appropriate
water supply and turn on your machine. Connect your telescoping
wand and work your way from the downspout to the end of the
gutter. This will prevent you from forcing large amounts of debris
in to your downspouts. If your downspouts are already clogged you
will need to unclog them prior to beginning the remainder of the
job. A snake can do the job, however if your gutters are piped under
ground you may want to consider a set of sewer
jetting accessories. These tools will allow you to use your
pressure washers power to remove the clog. You can also use these
tools for unclogging sewer lines as well. Once you have removed
all the debris from your gutters using the gutter attachment, rinse
your way back to the downspout and double check for clogs. Apply
the appropriate Chemical to the exterior of the gutter being sure
to follow all directions. Wait the recommended chemical work time
then using both your green or white tip and the correct length extension
wand pressure wash away the gunk.
