If you have a home with an inground
pool you know all about work, countless hours of vacuuming, adding
chemicals, and skimming can wear you out enough to where you don’t
even want to use your pool. Now your pool deck is covered in mold,
algae, and something you can’t identify from that party you
had last week. Well don’t worry, with a quality
pressure washer you’ll spend no time cleaning it up, and
can get back to enjoying your pool.
This mold and algae not only can look bad, but poses a danger of
a slippery surface. Bleach will remove mold the best, however never
put any type of bleach or acid through your pressure washer. It
is best to apply these types of chemicals with an external pump
up garden sprayer.
You will want to remove all items from your pool deck, toys, furniture,
etc, so that not to damage anything. Connect your pressure washer
to the appropriate water supply. You’ll also want to remove
any objects such as leaves, coins, or anything that might slow you
down and leave marks. You can accomplish this very easily by just
holding your wand straight out and blowing away the debris.
Next apply the right Chemical, like our 532
Concrete Cleaner to your pool deck, depending on what you are
trying to get off and what type of material it is made of, being
sure to follow all directions. You will want to use either a 15°
or 25° spray tip holding your wand at a 90° angle to the
deck. Depending on the material to be cleaned a pressure between
2000-3500 psi is required to accomplish this job in an acceptable
time.
